About NPZ Treatment Center

Discover our mission, clinical team, and the evidence-based approach that makes NPZ a trusted name in addiction treatment in Ventura, California.

Our Story

NPZ was founded with a single, unwavering mission: to provide compassionate, accessible addiction treatment to the Ventura community and beyond. Our treatment center at 394 E Main St was established by a team of clinicians and recovery advocates who recognized the growing need for high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services in Southern California.

From our earliest days, NPZ has been guided by the belief that every individual deserves a real chance at recovery — regardless of background, substance of choice, or how many times they've tried before. Our facility was thoughtfully designed to feel less like a clinical institution and more like a supportive home where healing happens naturally.

Today, NPZ stands as a comprehensive addiction treatment center offering the full continuum of care, from medically supervised detox through long-term aftercare, all under one roof in the heart of Ventura.

Recovery Stories

Real experiences from individuals and families who found hope at NPZ's Ventura treatment center.

When I arrived at NPZ in Ventura, I was broken and hopeless after years of alcohol abuse. The residential program staff welcomed me without judgment and built a treatment plan around my specific needs. The daily CBT sessions helped me understand my triggers, and the meditation garden became my sanctuary. I'm now over a year sober and have a relationship with my daughter again.

Residential Treatment Program

The fear of withdrawal kept me using fentanyl for two years. NPZ's medical detox team made the process far more bearable than I imagined. The nurses checked on me constantly, and the doctor adjusted my medication-assisted treatment until I was comfortable. Moving into residential afterward felt natural and safe.

Medical Detox & Residential Program

NPZ's outpatient program fit perfectly into my life as a working parent. The evening IOP sessions at the Ventura facility gave me structure and accountability without taking me away from my kids. The group therapy was where I finally stopped feeling ashamed and started feeling empowered. The DBT skills are now second nature.

Intensive Outpatient Program

I spent years self-medicating my PTSD with prescription pills. NPZ was the first place that treated my trauma and my addiction at the same time. The dual diagnosis program at this Ventura center gave me a psychiatrist who understood the connection and a therapist who helped me process what I'd been avoiding. For the first time in a decade, I feel whole.

Natalie W.

Dual Diagnosis Program

As a mother, watching my son go through treatment at NPZ was both terrifying and hopeful. The family therapy sessions taught our entire family how to communicate and support his recovery. The staff treated us with such kindness and always kept us informed. We're grateful to the whole team in Ventura.
